GAME  Resident Evil 5 

*Warning* If you have never played a Resident Evil game before you need to be aware that during the gameplay you are not able to move and attack. You have to stand still when you hit or shoot, this may turn many people off this game but this is the style of the Resident Evil games and it allows for more strategy. So there you have been warned.

     -This game offers great graphics, strong characters, excellent voice acting, upgradable weapons and high replay value    

     -However, the gameplay may not be for everyone

 

 

Fun Factor

     -I really enjoyed this game, it had been a while since I had played a Resident Evil game so the stationary combat was a bit to get used to again

     -Lots of great zombie shooting fun

     -There were some annoyingly difficult parts, but overall it is a really fun game   

 

 

Replay Value

     -This game is great to play through single player, and it is defiantly worth playing again co-op either online or local

     -Once you complete the game you unlock a challenge mode which is a lot of fun too   

 

 

Presentation/Graphics

     -This game looks really, really good. You will be drawn to play the game, I tried to play it co-op with both Czar and Zomberella and both of them really want to play it because it looks so impressive, but neither of them could get past the stationary combat 

 

 

Online

     -I really did expect more from the online, you can download a verses mode which is fun, but in co-op it can be annoying to join a co-op game and you cannot swap weapons with your partner            

 

Storyline

     -Interesting story that unveils a lot from the series. It gets quite deep, but Resident Evil rookies would get a little lost in some parts, but if you just stick with the mission objectives you’ll be fine

                       

 

Character

     -You play as Chris Redfield and you have a new partner named Sheva

     -The characters are pretty cool and surprisingly deep, new comers and people familiar with the series will really like them                                 

 

Customizable

     -You can choose your gear and upgrade your weapons

     -You can decide what arsenal you and your partner carry

     -There is some more opportunities for slightly more customization when you finish the game, but not much

 

 

Camera

     -360 camera control

     -Good position, very good aiming

 

 

Controls

     -They take some getting used to; you need to hold two buttons to attack

     -You can access your gear easily and in real time

     -But you only jump, climb and punch when prompted

     -Campaign, you can play single player or co-op

     -Some decent downloadable content

     -Extra challenges are unlocked at the end                    

    

Gameplay Options

     -Lots to explore, large levels with things to collect

     -AS annoying as the stationary combat is you adjust easily, however I cannot get past the fact that you cannot punch or kick unless you injure the zombie first and throw him off balance. The gameplay style is so restricted it really forces you to play the way they want you too, which takes away a lot of your options 

 

 

Progression of Difficulty

     -This game starts off hard, the first boss fight against The Executioner took me forever to figure out

     -After that abnormality the progression is pretty smooth 

 

 

Minor Details

     -For players new to the series the stationary combat may turn you off this game

     -They give you the Resident Evil history during the load scenes

     -You cannot skip most cut scenes

     -What is with the zombies who can talk, using guns and ride motorcycles?
