GAME Red Dead Redemption               

 

Overall Appeal

     -This is one of the most polished games I have ever played. It is so much better then Red Dead Revolver in both style, and gameplay.

     -If you like Cowboys, BUY THIS GAME, If you like well polished 3rd person free roam shooters, BUY THIS GAME, if you have a friend to play online with, BUY THIS GAME! 

 

 

Fun Factor

     -This is a really fun game, I put so many hours into playing the story, with hunting for bounties, collecting animal skins, gunfights, and the campaign missions, I almost forgot about the online.

     -The online is really fun by yourself, but is amazing with friends, taking down forts, killing other gangs, and taming the old west.  

 

 

Replay Value

     -The campaign is pretty long, even when you think it is over, it keeps going.

     -Once you do finish there are is still outfit missions, journal missions, forts and camps to take over and of course the online.

     -Also with the release of the Undead Nightmare expansion among others to come really make this game worth holding onto.   

 

 

Presentation/Graphics

     -This game looks and feels spectacular. So much detail, very few glitches and an extremely polished old west feeling that made this game stand out

 

 

Online

     -The online is basically like playing side mission with your friends online, there are great co-op elements as well as competitive elements.

     -You can take down forts, hunt, collect items, kill the badies, kill the rival games, kill your friends, whatever you want, there is really is something for everyone.     

 

Storyline

     -Surprisingly deep.

     -However, not the most original, but it really hold the game together well

     -Also it is quite long seem to never really end, and when it does you are surprised, but you should have been because it was coming

                       

 

Character

     -John Marston, a tough as nails former outlaw. He has class, manners and is as friendly as he is ruthless; I LIKE ‘EM!                                

 

Customizable

     -Not a ton to customize, you can choose clothes (when you unlock them by completing tasks), you can choose what weapons you want to buy (but, they can’t be modified), not really much but this game really doesn’t need much to customized for the campaign

     -The online you have a few more options to customize, your avatar, horse color, stuff like that, but again it is really not needed.  

 

 

Camera

     -3rd person, 360 degree camera

     -Slow motion Deadeye shooting is extremely comfort able, especially for gunfights, a huge improvement over Red Dead Revolver 

 

 

Controls

     -The controls are extremely practical; it takes no time to learn them

     -Throughout the game they give you tons of prompts, so you always know what to do

     -Campaign has tons of variety in mini games, and side missions

     -Online is equally as diverse

     -This game is entirely free roam, both local and online

     -There is a lot to do, with tons of challenges, missions and tasks the gameplay is outstanding

 

 

Progression of Difficulty

     -The game has a very smooth progression and will interest all levels

     -There is something to attract everyone, local and online

 

 

Minor Details

     -Some of the collections are tough. I had a long time finding the beavers

     -The gunplay is so tight, the time Rockstar put into the driving mechanics for GTA IV, they but the game amount of effort into the shooting here, and as a shooter fan I thank them
